The Natural Resource Conflict Transformation Center Nepal (NRCTC-Nepal) organized a three-day Practice Sharing Workshop from September 2-4, 2025, in Bode, Bhaktapur. The workshop brought together 57 participants, including board members, the central team, and district-level staff, to strengthen collaboration and advance peacebuilding initiatives.
The workshop was inaugurated by Honorable Kiran Thapa Magar, Health Minister of Bagmati Province, with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Minister Thapa Magar assured his ministry’s commitment to partnering with NRCTC-Nepal, emphasizing the role of mediation training in enhancing healthcare workers’ mental well-being. “Such programs are vital for strengthening the mental health of healthcare professionals,” he noted. He also highlighted ongoing health sector reforms in Bagmati Province and praised NRCTC-Nepal’s effective and inspiring initiatives, stating, “The center’s vision and approach significantly contribute to positive societal change.”

The workshop served as a dynamic platform for participants to:
- Review progress in peacebuilding and share regional updates.
- Discuss case review processes and provide feedback on the revised mountain pathway framework.
- Explore new AI tools and organizational policies.
- Share best practices in photography, videography, and creating impactful success stories.
- Collaboratively develop strategies for the upcoming quarter.
A key focus was strengthening fundraising through enhanced partnerships with local governments. The event also featured engaging team-building activities, including a quiz competition and a futsal match, fostering unity and enthusiasm among participants.
Mr. Bhola Khatiwada, Founder Chairperson of COFSUN, shared insights on forest-related challenges and the need for effective policies. Executive Director Mr. Chup Bahadur Thapa and Mr. Amit Dhakal emphasized sustainability, strategic partnerships, and a shared commitment to peace and prosperity.
The closing ceremony was addressed by Bagmati Province Forest and Environment Minister Bharat KC, who committed to collaborating with NRCTC-Nepal to resolve forest sector conflicts. “The government is dedicated to improving the forest and environment sector, and NRCTC-Nepal’s expertise is crucial,” he said. He underscored the importance of stakeholder collaboration and community participation in sustainable natural resource management for lasting impact.
